Since I don't have a board to staple the canvas to, and I was very excited to begin my drawing, I stapled the canvas directly to the easel, with bits and pieces hanging over the edge, trying to hold the loose bits by hand while I draw. It's an interesting process. There is actually a carpenter about a half mile away, but at the moment I know I couldn't walk there and back with my leg.
Not having models of course is another very perplexing aspect of this creative process. I'm trying to conjure it all up in my head. Or, when I get desperate, I look up a body part in an anatomy book and then try and figure out what it would look like from the left side or the right side, or if it was in this position, etc.
The other shock in this entire adventure which is a complete surprise to me is that I seem to be drawing nude figures. I always thought they would have cloths! I'm as stunned as you are.
So here goes - here's what's happening now in the creative department.
“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” ~ Carl Jung
