Happy New Year! Feliz Ano Nuevos!

New Year's Eve! Where has the time gone. Enjoy yourselves tonight. I'm having a quiet dinner at home with a friend before she leaves for the States in the morning. Not much news. Christmas season has been very social - lovely - and great to see everyone. I bought some movies for New Years Day and plan to have a quiet day at home.

I've got some paintings on the go. None of them complete - however I'll share them with you and
 again when they are finished.

That's it for today.  Enjoy your celebrations whatever you are doing.  Thanks for dropping by.  Lovely to see you.  Take care and have fun.

“In this new year, may you have a deep understanding of your true value and worth, an absolute faith in your unlimited potential, peace of mind in the midst of uncertainty, the confidence to let go when you need to, acceptance to replace your resistance, gratitude to open your heart, the strength to meet your challenges, great love to replace your fear, forgiveness and compassion for those who offend you, clear sight to see your best and true path, hope to dispel obscurity, the conviction to make your dreams come true, meaningful and rewarding synchronicities, dear friends who truly know and love you, a childlike trust in the benevolence of the universe, the humility to remain teachable, the wisdom to fully embrace your life exactly as it is, the understanding that every soul has its own course to follow, the discernment to recognize your own unique inner voice of truth, and the courage to learn to be still.”

A Magical Christmas Eve

A short post to wish you all a very very Happy Christmas Day. May you enjoy each moment and store the 'best bits' to remember later.

I spent a magical Christmas Eve at the home of a friend surrounded by people of like minds. This morning, Christmas Breakfast at and with friends, and tonight, Christmas Dinner with dear friends from north of the border. Last night actually felt like I had stepped into some sort of magical castle. I
never wanted it to end.

Notice "Medicine Woman" hanging on the wall, left.  Still can't believe it.

Thanks for dropping by.  Do hope you are having a wonderful Christmas Day, wherever you are.

A couple of new paintings ....

I have quite a few paintings 'in process' none of which are ready. I work on several pieces at once now which seems to work quite well.

There are a couple of new ones I'd like to share  with you though.  Here goes ... what do you think?

There is at least another one painting I'm working on in the 'nun' series.  I'll keep you posted.  Probably won't be painting much now until after Christmas.

Thanks for dropping by.

Before they are gone .....

I have hung some of my framed paintings in my home to enjoy before they are sold (hopefully). It's really a catch 22, of course I want them to sell, however, then again, they are sort of like my children and I am loath to let them go.

Toller said the other day, "We will make a video, you can talk about your work and we will film the paintings, because when they are sold you will never see them again." It did hit a spot in my heart. So much of myself is in every one.

So here is how it looks around here these days. I'm enjoying their presence and it will be lovely to have them for the holiday season.

I know I haven't been around to visit any of you!  I don't have a good excuse except I am feeling very overwhelmed.  Soon though ... soon.  Thanks so much for keeping me in the loop - I so appreciate your dropping by and love your comments.

Dusk to Dawn .....

Quick post. I'm so busy with Christmas, getting ready to the exhibition even through it is a little ways down the road, and fighting off a nasty cold! Painting every day, so should have some new ones to show you soon. Meantime there are moments of beauty. Sunsets and moon sets - both of which I captured on my camera. The sunset was so dramatic the other evening, it took my break away.

Dawn.  7:00 am this morning.  Moon setting over the mountains.  Just gorgeous.

Thanks for dropping over.  Hope you are nearly ready for Christmas.  I'm still running around like a mad fool!  Enjoy the season, whatever you are doing.

“If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty of lives and whole towns destroyed or about to be. We are not wise, and not very often kind. And much can never be redeemed. Still life has some possibility left. Perhaps this is its way of fighting back, that sometimes something happened better than all the riches or power in the world. It could be anything, but very likely you notice it in the instant when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb. (Don't Hesitate)”

Christmas Garden ...

It's that time. I'm convinced this year has gone faster than any other. The BBQ us ready for action. I still have to touch up the wall and make it match the old (oh dear!) - do hope I'm up to the task. I love that wall.  Here are a few photos.

Hope you are all planning something special even if it's small and intimate for one.  I still have a little Christmas shopping to do and believe it or not, my cards are not in the mail yet.  They may be New Year cards!

Sangria is on.  The terrace awaits.  Thanks for dropping by....

Building a BBQ

In keeping with the continuous 'calling' I have to create a home for myself, I am building a BBQ. It's situated just off the covered terrace and will be very convenient for entertaining. Just about finished.  Can't wait.

Pedro.  My main man when it comes to building!

Thanks for dropping by.  Always love seeing you here.
