"You've got a friend ...."

I wonder if this painting is finished? What do you think? I have to let it sit for a few days because I'm really not sure. Usually, I know --- yes! I'm done. It's done. But this is a little different, so I'm going
to allow them some time.

"You've got a friend" (in honour of James Taylor's song)
How are you all?  Thanks for dropping by and leaving your great comments.  I know I've missed lots of your posts - just can't seem to get 100% back to good health.  One thing leaves and another strikes me down.  Amazing!  Don't like it either.

Anyway, thanks so much for dropping by.  It's a beautiful day here.  Habibi and I are sitting out on our little covered terrace watching the hummingbirds and writing to you.  It's Friday - have a wonderful weekend.

"Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help." - George Carlin

  1. Oh, Donna. This is just lovely! I think it is my very favorite one of yours! I felt just like these 2 friends tonight when I met up with a childhood friend from almost 50 years ago! They look so happy together as friends. <3

  3. Hey Donna! I am so glad you posted today. Maybe you are feeling better. I sure do hope so. Your ladies look very content and you always use the prettiest of colors. To me, it is really quite serene. The colors seem softer, more gentle.

I am afraid as we age, it gets harder to bounce back. Whether it is slowly or not totally, we must bounce back. I too am sidelined with a fractured right hip.

It really is good to see you painting and posting Donna.

  8. I love their contented happy faces, donna. Let it sit for a bit and then you will know if it is finished! Here's wishing you strength and good health, a little more each day. Take a deep breath in an relax it out. Are you by any chance doing the free guided meditations with deepak chopra? I find them very helpful and I am trying to get into the habit! xo lenna
