Happiness consists of living each day as if it were the first day of your honeymoon and the last day of your vacation.

Last night in la Cruz ... boo hoo

Such a wonderful relaxing time. Never wanted it to end. I really had no idea how hyper I was until I started to relax. Then all I could do was lie around like a lump. Our last day in town was lovely.  Naturally, it would not have been complete without one last swim.  I'm going to miss the ocean and the pool!

Had breakfast in the village and did  a little shopping.

Love that hat

Enjoying breakfast in the village

Much later that evening, enjoying copious amounts of alcohol including drinks on the house, eating fresh lobster and generally becoming blitzed.  (Pat had a go at playing the grand piano!)

After the lobster, lost count of the drinks, talked with Scottish and Canadian guests in the restaurant, using my best Scottish accent, (they weren't insulted)  Stuffed myself with an incredible amount of fresh lobster.  Desperately want to crash into my bed, but managed to stay on two feet and be polite.  Toothpicks for my eyes please - quickly!

And then it was over.  Just like that!  Home - crashed into bed.  Morning came early and by 10:00 am we were on the road to Puerto Vallarta for another little adventure.

Thanks for stopping in my Lovely's,  More manana.

Time is running away at break neck speed now. I don't want it to end. The bliss, the quiet, the sound of the waves which lull me to sleep. I've relaxed to the point of no return - lolly gagging around all day dong exactly as I please. I'm going to miss the pool, the beach, the fresh fish market at the dock. Our little 'oyster bar'. My old friend, Rudolfo, The walking, the silence, the dawn, the sun sets.  The soft blue colour of the mountains.

Today is the market at the marina.  Fun.  Beautiful yachts, friendly people.

Don't want to let it slip away.  Keep it locked in a special box in my mind to open at will and remember.

Steps down to our palapa  - then the beach.

Our home away from home

Other homes along the beach

The marina

Fresh fish market at the marina - although it's more fun to buy them off the boats as they come in early in the morning.

Lobster - YUM

Some very nice yachts!

The fishing boats

Little kiosk at the dock which serves wonderful food.

Little restaurant in the village.  Obviously Canadian,

The zocolo
Ah yes.  I could get used to this.  A wonderful get away to relax and renew.

Thanks for dropping by.  Always love seeing you here.

“If I look upon my whole life, I cannot think of another time when I felt more comfortable: when I had no worries, fears, or desires, when my life seemed as soft and lovely as lying inside a cocoon of rose silk.”

Dawn. 7:00 AM

7:00 am. Somewhere along the Mexican coast. Dawn. I nestle into a chair outside, a steaming cup of expesso coffee in my hands. Warm, humid air caresses my skin. I delight in watching the world come into the light. The ocean has always taken my worries and cares. It is no exception this time.   I am pure peace. This, for me is true bliss.

Thanks for dropping by my lovely's.

"Come walk with me, take off your shoes, let's walk the beach with only the moon to light the path and waves to hear you tell me you love me."
"Why does the ocean rock the moon to sleep every night? So the sun will wake and kiss the beach."

... notes from "On Holiday" .....

On the coast of Mexico. 'le sigh' How I have missed the ocean and this place which we frequented regularly in the 'good old days". We are now up the coast a little way, still on the bay, in a beautiful beach villa, complete with pool, palapa, hammocks, private beach. Hard to take, however I shall manage.

Last evening was spent with a dear friend of 30 years. We laughed, drank copious amounts of wine and remembered many experiences of our journeys. Wonderful to see him again.

House and Habibi in SMA all looked after so I can
relax and enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by.  More about our beautiful beach house manana.

To reminisce with my old friend.  To laugh until tears roll down our cheeks.  To shed a tear and completely understand. To hear about each others lives now and the journeys we have taken.  To be completely ourselves in each others company.  Ah yes, there is nothing quite like it.  (my own thoughts on a wonderful evening out)

Paintings on the go and a couple nearly complete ....

Hello my lovely's. I know, I haven't been around to all your blogs and I do miss you. My life is a zoo -- like going from retirement to full time job - takes some adjusting to. Having said that, don't get me wrong - I am living my dream!

Here are four paintings. The first two I have just begun - the other two are nearly complete. Have to wait for the paint to dry to decorate the Elephants and put the snow on "Mother Superior goes skiing.

Hope all is well with you.  Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving your comments.
