The First Three ...

are totally complete, except for a coat of varnish. Frames are ready. Waiting for framers to come over tomorrow and pop them in, wire them up, ready to hang. The quality of the photographs is not the best I'm afraid -- light and all. I'll share them with you anyway. The professional photographer will come tomorrow and shoot.

"The Alchemist's Cousin"
"Cock of the Rock"

"The Raj of Jaipurs' Bride"
The angel and her little helpers are putting the moon and stars back in the sky to light the night.   It is as yet unfinished and un named.

So that's it for today my Sweets.  Hope you are having a lovely week and enjoying every day with something creative included.  (I know you are!)

Art will remain the most astonishing activity of mankind born out of struggle between wisdom and madness, between dream and reality in our mind.” ~Magdalena Abakanowicz

Hand made collage cards available ......

at Galleria Izamal, 80 Mesones, San Miguel de Allende, Gto. Mx. If you happen to be in town for a little break do drop in and see the art available. I've completed some hand made collage cards for sale, as well as a Christmas card.

First an example of the hand made collage cards:

A Christmas card is available (I know it's early, however people are traveling) .... here it is.  Another shocking fact I read the other day - only 19 Fridays 'til Christmas!  Sheesh!  Where did the year go????

This is the sentiment inside.

Have just completed three paintings - must varnish - then they are ready for framing.  Will post soon.

Thanks for dropping by.  Love you all and your comments, your emails and the good vibes you send out into the world.

“The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live.” ~Auguste Rodin
One of my favorite sculptures.  Takes my breath away.  Didn't know it I was going to survive being present in his house, amongst his work, in Paris.  Such a rare and glorious experience.

You Shall be Missed, Robin Williams .....

"You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it."
- Robin Williams
How very very sad. You shall be missed. When I had ovarian cancer and was diagnosed as terminal, I contribute a great deal of my healing to watching "The Bird Cage" over and over, and laughing 'til I  cried. Robin Williams and Nathan Lane were perfect casting for that movie.  I have kept a copy ever since, and watched it again last night as a tribute to my still being on this earth.  It was still just as funny!  God speed, Robin, and may you rest in peace.
I'm not able to give copyright credit to this image as I don't know the photographer.  My apologies.

― J.K. Rowling,
I hope that's how you felt, Robin.

Just about complete ....

I call her 'Miss No Name' at the moment because I have not a clue what to name her. It will come. I've become very fond of her during the painting process. I think she's 'exotic' and that pleases me. Still a little more shading to be done - I'll post again when
she's finished.

That's it for today.  What are you all up to this Sunday?  Hope it's a lovely relaxing day for you.  Thanks so much for dropping by.

One complete Two to Go ......

I've been working on a few paintings at once - actually four. Haven't got a photo of one of them, but will post as soon as I do. The Rooster (3ft. x 3ft) is complete. Waiting to be framed. Named him
'Cock of the Rock'

The next two I'm still working on.

That's it for today my lovelys - thanks for dropping in.  Hope all is well with each of you.  Take care.

“I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn't impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.”

Working on ......

Working on .....

I'll bet you didn't know there was a 'red angel' in charge of placing the moon and stars in the sky at dusk.  Big job, so of course she has helpers.  :o)

That's it for today.  Thanks for coming over.  See you soon.  Gotta run.  Getting ready for an art exhibition at the galeria on Saturday evening.  More on that when it hits the paper.

In the Studio .. at work --- ha ha more like 'at fun' ...

A friend of mine, Faith, dropped into the studio today and took a few shots of me at the easel. Have never had any photos of me 'at work' before, so they are  lovely to have.

Just for the sake of posterity, Toller Cranston's Studio, San Miguel de Allende, Gto. Mexico, July 21, 2014.

Progress? She's still a mystery.

Still don't know where she is headed. Keeps changing on me. At any rate - here's what has happened.

Nice to see you here - thanks for all your comments and taking the time to visit.  I'm off to paint.  Take care.
