Changes for the better ....

Well, the painting I was having a challenge with has moved forward. I'm not sure I'm completely finished, but real close ....

The other work I thought was finished was not.  I darkened the background and the painting just popped.  What say you?

Thanks so much for dropping in!  I know I am waaaaaay behind again in my visits - getting ready for a big charity auction!  Soon --- soon.  Hope all is well.

“For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”
― Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button screenplay

  1. The paintings are beautiful, as always. Hope you have a few minutes to have a Sangria now and then.

  2. Both are gorgeous and colorful, a Donna trademark.

  3. Gorgeous gorgeous. I can never get enough of the bright vivid colours.
You finally came up in my feed...seriously, it has been too long :) Good luck with the charity auction.

  4. Amazing use of color Donna,
    hugs Lynn

  5. Both of these are beautiful Donna. Looks like you lightened the lady with the umbrella background, it looks brighter or more vibrant and it really does make it pop. Love it now, really vibrant colors. ~Diane

  6. The colors are beautiful, but the details add so much. Especially love the fish.

  7. Dear Donna, these two paintings just jumped out at me and lit up my morning. I love their brightness and the joy in colour. If you ever get prints done, I could just see the second one on my living room wall. - Sue
