Work in Progress

Hi everyone. Just wanted to say a big Thank You to all of you who are putting up with me lolly gagging around and not visiting your blogs! I've been fending off the flu with the immune boosters my naturopath has issued. I must say, they work, I haven't had bronchitis for 3 years now and it is usually a yearly event. This year, however, the flu is a nasty lingering one and my body is exhausted from keeping me 'flu free'. Consequently, my naturopath thought it best to work from home for a week so I can nap whenever I want to! (which seems to be a lot, and it's annoying me). AH! However, I DON'T have the flu to I, so what's to be annoyed about. :o)

I've got quite a few paintings 'in the works' - more to come. Here's four of them for now ...

Another painting from a sketch done at the Bay of Fires in Tasmania during our last reunion in Australia.

Despite my nap times, I seem to be getting quite a lot done.

Thanks for coming over.  Carolyn!  There is ALWAYS a chair here for you.  I can think of nothing better than to open my door and find you standing there.  :o)

“The main thing is to be moved, to love, to hope, to tremble, to live.” ~Auguste Rodin
(Since I stood in Rodin's house and garden in Paris years ago, viewing his work, there has been no one to take his place in my heart as my favorite sculptor.)

  1. Well, I sure hope you'll be feeling better! Sounds as if you are doing all the right things. You have been very productive. I love the nap on the beach painting- very inviting. Be well.

  2. Feel better soon and do take care of yourself dear. Looks like it has not bothered your art in any way, beautiful pieces you have started here. Big hugs, ~Diane

  3. Wonderful work Donna, hope you soon feel well! Hugs, Valerie

  4. I wish you would pass on a few tips about keeping your immune system right as rain. I am a big believer in not over doing - slow and easy with a good night's sleep. You are so talented Donna and it is obvious your love of color!

  5. You are on a roll with all these beautiful paintings Donna. Hope you feel better soon.
