Paintings complete ...

I think I may have finally got it with the Raj's Monkeys. I'll let it sit for awhile and see what I

And a new one, not yet named.  Any ideas?

"The Listener" sold at the charity auction.  Only 27 out of 120 pieces sold, so I was pleased.  To remind you which painting that was ... here she is ...

She's off to live in Washington, DC.
Just came home from "The Castle" where I hung some of my work in readiness for the Valentine day exhibition.  I'm stressed and tired!  I do think they look ok though.  There is another piece around the corner I didn't photograph.

Nice little shack!  Felt like I was back in Europe.  Curling up on the sofa by the fire would have been lovely - oh,forgot the glass of wine.

More info after Friday.  Stay tuned. Again, thanks for dropping in to see me.  I'm beginning to feel very guilty for not visiting you - however at the moment I simply can't do it.  Take care.  Love you all......

There is a wonderful feeling when you walk into your own exhibition. You see the work as a true extension of yourself. Win or lose, your interests have led you to an accumulation of your personal expression, signed lower right, mounted to best advantage. (Robert Genn)

  1. Lovely work Donna, the monkeys are so colourful. Glad you sold your painting, lucky buyer! Hugs, Valerie

  2. Donna, the final touches to the 'monkeys' added contrast, especially darkening the hat of the monkey against the skirt. Excellent! I love the cows who appear so interested in their view of the surroundings.

The Valentine show with your gorgeous paintings will be a huge success.

  3. I love how the Raj's monkey painting turned out. I hope you sell many paintings tomorrow.

  4. Hey Donna - I sure know how your feel about visiting - so much to do - so little time to get it done. I have always loved your paintings and your love and sense of color. "Smile for the camera Bessie"
Thanks for the pictures Donna - they give me a sense of what you are doing and where you are.
    Sandy xx

  5. I totally love how your paintings look on the stone walls. Amazing! Good luck with the exhibition. :)
