Coming down the home stretch

A couple more sessions of detail and I should be finished. I'm beginning to develop a relationship with each of them as I go along. Strange individuals with
even stranger stories to tell!  But, I digress - I'm sure they will share with you if you ask.

That's it for today.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you have a nice chat with the 'strange ones'.  Their stories seem to change on a regular basis.

“There are people who are generic. They make generic responses and they expect generic answers. They live inside a box and they think people who don't fit into their box are strange. But I'll tell you what, generic people are the strange people. They are like genetically-manipulated plants growing inside a laboratory, like indistinguishable faces, like droids. Like ignorance.”

  1. Good morning, Donna. Hope the coming weekend is a great one for you and you are feeling much better. The details in the 'Gathering' are incredible. This piece of art is turning into a masterpiece. I love the crest on the red outfit, the headdress on the middle person, and the king or knight is wonderful and he looks very pleased to be included with these ladies.

    Hugs,
    Carolyn

  2. Your painting is developing really well, love their headgear, too. I wonder what they are all thinking - the lady second from the right with the red hair looks like she is smiling about something the others don't know! Take care, hugs, Valerie

  3. Just lost my comment - will try again. I finally decided that this is a bridal party. The lady with the flowers is the the bride - standing next to her is the priest - standing next to him is the mother of the groom who is giving her new daghter-in-law to be the once over (or she is coming on to the priest) - the next lady is the mother of the bride who is happy because her daughter is marrying one of the richest men in the realm - heck, she is just happy that her daughter is getting married! And then there is the handsome groom with his best man the bird.
    Love your painting Donna!!
