I haven't got a clue what I'm doing! HELP!

Well - I sat down in front of a blank slate, and all these people popped out onto a 5ft. X 3ft. canvas. I just keep going, but don't really have a clue what I'm doing - what to do with it - where I'm going with it. It's not talking to me! I thought perhaps it was some sort of wedding - anyway - I'm putting a huge bouquet of flowers in the hands of the girl with the green dress on the left hand side of the painting. Do you see, or understand something I'm not seeing and understanding? If so, PLEASE - put it in your comments.

Perhaps it doesn't need to make sense - perhaps is just is what it is!! At any rate - I'll just keep plodding along and see what happens. I've been blocking in mostly with acrylic just to see the colours. I will paint over with oil when I'm satisfied. I'm hoping to use a whole lot of pattern on their clothing and perhaps come in the background - but WHO KNOWS! It will be a complete surprise to me.
See what you think and let me know --- please!

My friend from Australia left yesterday, so the house is pretty quiet.  Always have an adjustment to make after people leave.  I truly would rather live with someone than live alone.  How about you?

Thanks for dropping by.  Take care of yourselves.  Would love your comments on this mystery!

 “Rabbit's clever," said Pooh thoughtfully.
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit's clever."
"And he has Brain."
"Yes," said Piglet, "Rabbit has Brain."
There was a long silence.
"I suppose," said Pooh, "that that's why he never understands anything.”

  1. Royal wedding? I think the bride is the faceless (clueless one), the Queen mother in law in the forefront and the brides mother to the right of her. I think the other woman to the left is either her favorite Aunt or possibly her nanny. What do I know? Looks great so far. Big hugs, ~Diane

  2. Your "gathering" makes me smile. I just get a wonderful feeling of "celebrating life" :D XXX

  3. This is wonderful, Donna, even if you don't know what you are doing, something great is emerging. Reminds me of a strange family gathering, where everyone is trying to be polite. I am very much looking forward to seeing where it is going! And being alone is not good, you can say that again! Hugs, Valerie

  4. I'm sure you hated to see Ros leave as it appeared you had a wonderful time. My take on the new painting . . . I believe it is a gathering of the friends and others who came to visit the gallery and celebrating with you during your show.

  5. Love your Winnie the Pooh - makes perfect sense to me!! I do wish I could wave a magic want for you and Valerie both and give you each the perfect house mate you really want! Of course I am posting backwards so I have seen this gang of exceptional people - and as they all come from you I know they are exceptional!
