Two more blocked in ....

Anyone for a donkey? He's for sale.

Awful photographs I'm afraid - ah well, maybe better light tomorrow.

Thanks for dropping in.  You all delight me with your comments.

Thanks for dropping by.  Take care.

Sunset last night ....

Bliss ...  sitting on the terrace, glass of wine in hand, watching the sun disappear.  Now, if only I could magically get rid of the wires.

Thanks for dropping over.  Hope you have a great day.  Sending love.

Complete ...

Two more complete. I think I will not start anything new before the exhibition - still have many to varnish and the framer is coming tomorrow.

Hope you are having a great day - sun is shining here and we will have a high of about 88 degrees!  Take care and thanks for your comments and dropping in so often.

Just about finished ...

I'll have another look at her tomorrow - however I think she's just about done. Perhaps lighten the bird
just a little.  We shall see ....

Night all.   Going to bed early - feel like I'm fending off a cold.  Get some zees.

Thanks for dropping over.  Take care and thanks for your sweet comments.  So appreciated.

Moving Right Along

Some progress was made yesterday on each painting I'm working on. I have people coming to move furniture into my new bedroom this morning -- YEAH. The drapes arrive Saturday so I will not sizzle in the sun,as the room is mostly glass. I'll be so happy when this whole mess is over, although I'm glad I had it done. Here are the paintings ...

Hope you are all having a delightful day.  Thanks so much for stopping over.  Take care.

Paintings under way

A couple of paintings under way. Still working on my girl feeding the pigeons and a new one of two rabbits flirting under a full moon. Still lots to do.

.. and a new one - just blocked in.

Not much more to report.  Thanks for coming over - always lovely to see you and your great comments.  Keeps me going.  Hope you have a wonderful day.  It's 6:00 am here - I'm having my first cup of coffee.  :o)

"The Castle Exhibition"

A wonderful time was had by all at the Art Exhibition. There were huge plates of food for 60 pesos and drinks for 30 pesos - so people enjoyed themselves and made a day of it. Mostly in a 'looking' mood, the crowd enjoyed the paintings and asked tons of questions, however I think only one painting was sold which Was Andrew Ostas. I took all my hand made journals, spirit dolls, cards, jewelry, and other trinkets. They were indeed very popular and I almost sold out which was great fun. I left the heavy work of bringing everything home until Monday as I really was quite exhausted after the day was over. Great venue. Should have taken more photographs to show you, however I was busy talking and selling and really didn't get a chance to wander around myself. Beautiful architecture. Perhaps when I pick up my paintings on Monday I'll take a few photos to show you. Thanks for dropping in and for all your lovely comments. Take care.

Do you think I need my glasses straightened?  :o)  This lady purchased a hand made journal and spirit doll for her daughter.  She wanted to include a photo of herself and the artist to send off with the gift.  Thought that was nice.

Paintings complete ...

I think I may have finally got it with the Raj's Monkeys. I'll let it sit for awhile and see what I
think.

And a new one, not yet named.  Any ideas?

"The Listener" sold at the charity auction.  Only 27 out of 120 pieces sold, so I was pleased.  To remind you which painting that was ... here she is ...

She's off to live in Washington, DC.
Just came home from "The Castle" where I hung some of my work in readiness for the Valentine day exhibition.  I'm stressed and tired!  I do think they look ok though.  There is another piece around the corner I didn't photograph.

Nice little shack!  Felt like I was back in Europe.  Curling up on the sofa by the fire would have been lovely - oh,forgot the glass of wine.

More info after Friday.  Stay tuned. Again, thanks for dropping in to see me.  I'm beginning to feel very guilty for not visiting you - however at the moment I simply can't do it.  Take care.  Love you all......

There is a wonderful feeling when you walk into your own exhibition. You see the work as a true extension of yourself. Win or lose, your interests have led you to an accumulation of your personal expression, signed lower right, mounted to best advantage. (Robert Genn)

Charity Auction Yesterday .....

The Charity Auction held yesterday in aid of Children's literacy through art, was an interesting ride. I won't go into the details. There were 120 pieces on the block. Mine was #56. A couple of friends came with me and we made it through the first 55, some of which did not sell. Mine ("The Listener"), sold which was wonderful. The Art Foundation received half the selling price, I receive the other half. I met the woman who purchased her, and "The Listener" is on her way to Washington, DC. It was nice to know she was going home with a very lovely lady.

Here is "The Listener" as you have probably forgotten which one she is.

After that, we ran as fast as our little legs could carry us to the Luna Bar (roof bar on top of the Rosewood) to celebrate.  It felt sooooo good.  My friends were so lovely and supportive which means so much when you are beginning from scratch in a new town.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  It means a lot, especially when I don't have time to get around to see you all.  Getting ready for Valentine's Day exhibition now!  Varnish, varnish and more varnish!
