Couldn't Take It .. HAD to fix it ...

Good morning my lovelies.  Another day to play!  Hope you are having fun.

Remember a couple of days ago when I did an antique journal and a 7Gypsies journal.  There were things about both of them that were niggling me ... so today I tackled the issues to see what could be done.  Much happier now.
Covered up my beautiful Italian paper ... not happy!

Found enough to cover both front and back!  YEAH.  Doin' the Happy Dance.

In my little journal  - was very disappointed with this page.  It was very harsh.

Fixed it!  Much better thinks me.

Thought the inside back cover was terribly harsh as well.  Just didn't fit the feel of the journal.

Feeling much better about if now!

Back cover?  Even with the decoration on it -- thought it needed a little extra something.

A little extra touch made it all better.

Feeling much better about both journals.  When I make things which will eventually go to market, I am really fussy and want my clients to have only the best I can produce.  (which, in fact, is never good enough.) 'le sigh'

Thanks so much for dropping over.  Enjoy the moment.

  1. I liked them before, but have to admit that the alterations you made have made them even better, well done on fixing them. Now you can start on the next one. Hope your aches and pains aren't too bad today, take care, hugs, Valerie

  2. You're a successful problem solver! I know what you mean- even if nobody else is aware of it, there are sometimes little spots we're just not satisfied with until we tweak them. These look beautiful.

  4. I was delighted that you stopped by my blog, because I had a wonderful look around. I followed the progress of the journal from start to completion. I really like this completed work, and often see things I could have done better in my own art. However, I've never put any of mine for sale, so essentially, I'm making it for me.

I hope you eye is better. I've also fallen asleep at my computer, but never with my hand on the scroll bar. It's usually holding the mouse, which drops to the floor. Again thanks for visiting me so I could return the favor. BTW, I am truly inspired by your houses collage!

  6. The journals were great to begin with but they are even better now. An Artist is not happy until it is just right in their own mind. Hope you are doing okay healthwise.

  10. I guess creating art is a never ending process. But your final work is much more cohesive and it is worth the little touches.Just looking at it i felt spring is near, in this cold cold season :)
