The Owl and The Pussycat Part II

Good heaven's my lovelies -- hope you are having a wonderful day.  Nice to see what you are all up to on your blogs.  So nice to hear again from you, Gina.  Thanks for popping over.

I never did find the photo of the poster for the show, so had to take another.  It will do.  It was a fun exhibition to prepare for.

Here's the painting that is represented on the poster.
"And they took Honey and Plenty of Money", oil on canvas, 25" X 29"

As I child, when I heard this line in its entirety, "And they took Honey and Plenty of Money wrapped up in a Five Pound Note".  I simply could not understand how a note could weigh five pounds.  lol ... who knew about world currencies at such a young age.

This painting is sold and is going to Canada.  I will take it with me when I move and ship it down east.

That's about the extent of it for today.  Enjoy the moment.  That's all we've got.  Thanks for dropping by.

Wings are not only for birds; they are also for minds. Human potential stops at some point somewhere beyond infinity.

  1. Your painting is magical, and the new owners will enjoy it very much. Love the quote from Toller, so true. The clothes of the pair are gorgeous, especially the owl's shirt, I would love one like that! Have a great day, take care, hugs, Valerie

  3. Always have loved your paintings especially your use of color.
The Owl and the Pussy cat went to sea - one of my favorite poems as a child and still as an adult it makes me smile. The Pussy cat carried the honey and the Owl was smart enough to take the money!!

    1. Hi Elsbeth, thanks so much for joining my blog. Yes, I'm going back 'home' because of health reasons. It's unfortunate, as I'm truly in love with Mexico. I will be joining your blog when I sort out my aol password! lol
