Slow but Sure ....

Hello my Lovelies.  It's raining, raining, raining here on Vancouver Island.  Hope you are in a nice dry, warm spot.  lol

The contractor I hired didn't work out well - so he is gone, gone, gone.  Ray, naturally (!), has taken over and is determined to finish the work, much to my objections.  What can one do??!  Today we fixed much of the mess the contractor made, and began to put up the crown molding.  It's beginning to come together, and I hope to be sleeping here by the 15th.  Ray brought all his guy toys over, and progress is being made ...

I've had several requests for a 'clone' of Ray.  I'm certain science will have a breakthrough on that any day now, and as soon as possible I will be sending out copies to whoever needs one.

Thanks for dropping by and leaving your lovely comments.  Enjoy the moment.

  1. Look good, your Ray is a treasure, glad to see things are coming along well! If you do manage to clone Ray, send me one, too, please! Don't overwork yourself, love and hugs, Valerie

  2. Sorry you had a bad experience with the previous contractor. When things are being done in my home, I just want it done and the workers gone at some point in the process. So to leave things not done or badly done, and then have to go from there is a problem. Problem solver Ray on the scene! Like a super hero. Yay.

  3. Yep, I'll take a Ray too! I have a David and he's wonderful but even he would admit he's no Ray. Sorry for the contractor woes - all too common a story. It will be so good when you finally settle in. In the end, there's no place like home. (Ray deserves a BIG stockingful from Santa this year!) Hugs, Edye

  4. Oh wonderful for you to have Ray and what a shame the contractor did not work out.
We have plans to have some work done on our home in the new year and I have my fingers crossed that all goes smoothly.
We had a very wet day here in Northern Virginia that did everything a lot of good.
Thank you for sharing that great quote.

  5. Bad contractors should be branded across their foreheads, sigh! So glad your house-finishing story is rewriting itself with a happy ending, Dorothy. You deserve a cozy and warm home. You'll get used to the PNW, but this IS a horrendously wet year!
