Light Your Own Path ..

Greetings my lovelies.  What wonderful events are taking place in your life today?

It's been gray and rainy here on the west coast.  Spent a fun day yesterday accompanying Ray on the business of buying.  I ended up with a couple of very useful items for the house.  Had a lovely breakfast out, in between stops, and watched the beautiful ocean as we drove ... noticing it seemed to be the same colour are the sky.  I have always thought we must light our own paths. Not always an easy thing to do.  Here, in the winter, it is especially important to keep spirits up.  I am linking my journal page to Art Journal Journey.

Some photos from our adventures yesterday.

New technology installed allows Ray to drink coffee and drive with his eyes closed.  ha ha

through the window as we drive ...

A lovely bench, badly in need of cleaning, for my garden.

Collapsed after unloading the heavy little sucker.  :o)

And ... a very useful cart on wheels - now I can organize my gifts.

"Light Your Own Path" ...

Thanks for dropping by.  Enjoy the moment.

  1. Sounds like even though the skies were grey you had a fun day! That garden bench is gorgeous.

  2. Beautiful work as always Donn, love the starry night! Looks like you had a fun time out, and your new additions are beautiful. Poor Ray, he looks knocked out, no wonder he drives with his eyes shut! Love the photos taken from the car, too. Have a great day Sweetie, hugs, Valerie

  3. Looks like a lot of fun Donna

I have escaped to a tropical paradise and adventure platground that is all man made and still in the dreary UK weather really..a great place to be in a dark January

    Love Chrissie xx

  4. The bench is gorgeous and the cart on wheel is very handy! Looks like you had fun even though the weather was dull.
Lovely idea for this page - so true - the light comes from within!!!
    Happy Tuesday Donna!
Thank you for linking to Art Journal Journey once again - so glad to have you with us!

  5. Looks like you had a good day out and came home with super new additions. Love your starry journal page and words you used.

  6. There is beauty in those muted grays, as stormy as they are. Oh, that cart is going to be so handy. And the bench is lovely.

  7. Hey Sugar -- now you have to promise me you will not go out with Ray again when it is cold and raining, he is driving and has to have his coffee.
I had to have a concrete bench for my garden too Donna. Now don't faint.. in the same garden I have a beautiful tomb stone. I will take some pictures of it and send them to you. There is beauty all around and I love old cemeteries - so full of art and very peaceful.
    Keep shinning your magnificent ligt!
    Sandy xx

  8. Yes let there be Light!
Lovely piece you created and sentiments behind it dear Donna.
Fun to travel with you a bit today too...looks like you and Ray had quite a special day.

  9. Oh dear, I have fallen so behind on what is happening with you, Donna! When I am not blogging, which is most of the time these days, all blogs seem to fall off my radar screen. Eek! I do want to keep up and I'm soooo glad you are once again doing some art. I think art journaling is the perfect all-around venue. Awesome! We are adjusting too to the record-breaking rains (wettest year EVER here last year) and I know yours are even more intense than ours here in the rain shadow. But now that you have some productive projects to do, the time will fly and before we know it, spring will be here!! Keep the faith!
