Staff Party at Quinta de la Luz

Hello my Lovelies.  It was sunny and warm today ... so beautiful.  Hope you enjoyed your day wherever you were.

Packing will begin tomorrow ... along with many other unexpected events.  Pick up a tax document needed for closing, go to bank and get wiring instruction, eye Dr.'s appointment to pick up glasses and leave another pair.  None of these events were on my schedule this morning -- as always it gets a little hectic towards closing.  I'm doing my best to take one moment at a time and stay calm.  lol

We had a lovely day in the sun today.  A staff party.  Each one of these people have been with me for a long time, and I've grown very attached to every one of them and their families.  I will miss them terribly.  Among other things, they have taken care of my house while I'm away, kept my house sparkling clean each week, taken care of my yard and gardened, hauled paintings to and from the galleries and shows, taken me shopping and carried my heavy packages .... you name it.  We have become become part of a family and to a certain extent I feel responsible to support them not only in a monetary way, but in a personal loving way.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day.  Names don't really matter at this point.  They have all become part of my family in Mexico.  Here's some photos.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope life is treating you well and you are enjoying each moment.

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.

  4. A marvelous way to show how much you appreciate this group for their work and support. Yes, you will miss them! They appear so happy to be there with smiles and all, drinking my favorite beverage. Are you sure one or two could be included in the packing and show up on your doorstep in Duncan? There are so many loose ends when one moves. Continue to go slowly and each one will be solved.
    Hugs,
