Good morning, my lovelies. Nice to see you here. Enjoy.
Not long after I arrived in San Miguel, what I refer to as "My Goddess Series" began to come through me. I never knew what was going to turn up on the canvas, and each Goddess (or women of the ages) spoke to me and told me their story, explaining to me in detail the symbolism they wanted in the painting.
Today, I will share with you "Keeper of the Faith" as she is carrying music in her heart. I'll be linking to Art Journal Journey, where the theme is "If Music be the Food of Love". This particular Goddess is simply brimming with love, as you will see when you read her story. Here she is:
"Keeper of the Faith" oil on canvas Donna Parker
"I bring you light for the journey. You will never be lost. I bring you the strength of the oak tree when you feel weak. I carry music in my heart especially for you, when you are feeling sad. Listen and be comforted. The moon and stars are already yours. You need but to ask. Quiet yourself and go deep within. You will easily be able to hear the Universal voice which is within all of us. The journey need not be difficult, for you carry the Keys to the Kingdom"
Thanks so much for dropping by, dear ones. Today is all we have. Enjoy each moment.
“He took his pain and turned it into something beautiful. Into something
that people connect to. And that's what good music does. It speaks to
you. It changes you.”
~ Hannah Harrington, Saving June

Donna, I have just caught up with what is happening! It must be surreal being there and so very bittersweet..... I have been so fortunate to witness your entire San Miguel journey from start to finish and I must say - it has enriched my life in the process. Thinking of you as you navigate all the changes. I know your positivity will shine through your journey. I absolutely adore that piece and have loved witnessing each of them come to life. Huge hugs to you my dear! xox
ReplyDeleteDonna, Patty's comment was right on. And, I couldn't state my response or post better. I too loved this painting along with the others that shared their story with you, captured on canvas.
