This and That

Good morning my Lovelies.  How is your world today?

My world is steadily getting better.  A good thing, considering I have to travel in a week.  Tummy still not quite right and I may call the Dr. one more time just to make sure.  Couldn't get on a plane at the moment ... so my body needs a little 'tweaking'.

Not much new as I've been sticking pretty close to home.  Had to change shippers, for reasons I will not get into here.  It was stressful, however, everything is back in place and all will be well.

There is a cactus in front of the house across from me.  I absolutely adore it, however had decided there is no way I could possibly take the prickly beast with me - so photos are the next best thing.  It is so tall and strong -- just love it.

Isn't is Gorgeous!

My two new shippers, who took all the stress away yesterday, are lovely.  After spending an entire day with them, I believe they are simply good souls.  I don't know how else to put it.  It puts my faith back in humanity.

Just another photo I took before I got sick.  I'm always amazed at the beauty and the celebration of life that exists in Mexico.

That's all for today.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  I enjoy your comments.  Sorry I haven't been around to visit -- I will be there soon.  Take care of each other and enjoy the moment.

It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth - and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up - that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.  Elisabeth Kübler-Ross

  1. So glad you are on the mend and that everything is now going your way, Donna! Looking forward to seeing you again.

  2. Glad you are feeling better, could you send over one of those gorgeous guys, I would prefer them to the cactus any day. Look after yourself Sweetie and enjoy the beautiful sights as long as you can. Big, healing hugs, Valerie

  3. Pleased that you are feeling a lot better and that some of the stress has been taken away for now.

    Love the quote

    Take care

    Chrissie xx

  4. You are utterly amazing, Donna. You are giving out love and posting photos to us all when you are ill and in the middle of moving. Your grace and ability to see the good in life is way more than inspirational. It's mind-blowing. And yes, I love the quote, and its author. Nurture yourself and get all the help you can. Hugs, Sue

  5. Hope you feel completely well soon Donna!
    What a gorgeous plant?!

    Sending best wishes for you!

  6. The cactus has character- and lovely wrinkles. Hope you feel better and can travel comfortably!

  7. Happy to read you are much better. I can't imagine having typhoid in our modern world. We do forget that illnesses of this type never go away. They hit when unexpected. Stay strong this week to enjoy friends and your surroundings. I have always loved cacti and your photo of the really tall one is magnificent.

  8. Oh my goodness... you've been having such a time of it lately haven't you. I hope you're on the right track now with your health and the move.
I have to agree Donna... there's no way that that cactus could fit onto the plane!
Great quote. I wish you a wonderful week ahead.
    Hugs to you

  9. Yup, that is one gorgeous cactus. I bet you are not counting the days until you move back to Canada, and I can see why. What a beautiful and inspiring home. Hope the tummy improves ASAP!

  10. Happy to hear your health is improving.
Anytime would have been bad but with all you have going on!
Pictures ARE wonderful for so many things aren't they.
Thank you for sharing that handsome cactus with us...he would not fair so well in the cold even if he made the trip ;-)
