In the Bedroom ...

Good morning my Lovelies.  It's early here!  Why I am up?  Who knows!  Hope your day is a great one.

It hasn't stopped raining since I arrived in Duncan ... I am wondering if I'm accidently doing some sort of a 'rain dance' ... unintentional of course.  Can't believe how it's coming down.  Yesterday I didn't venture out -- just tooooo wet.

Things are happening in the bedroom.  I now have a lovely new vanity - just the right size (found for me by Ray, of course).  When I first came home, Ray gave me a 'bustle chair' ... a beautiful antique piece.  Women (when they wore bustles, could fling it over the low side of the chair so they could be at least somewhat comfortable).  It's lovely in the bedroom ... just right to drape my clothes on at night.  :o)

The top drawer is lined with red velvet and has small compartments on one side, which would hold jewelry, or make up etc.  I adore it.

Isn't this a gorgeous old piece.  In love!

I had a communication from "the boys' who are driving my things up.  They are currently in California and are targeting the ferry from the States for Saturday.  YES!  This Saturday!  It will be a big day, as I must be there to go through customs with my goods.  Will keep you posted on that.

Thanks for dropping by.  I'll be around to see you all soon.  Take care and make your moments beautiful.
“There is something beautiful about a blank canvas, the nothingness of the beginning that is so simple and breathtakingly pure. It’s the paint that changes its meaning and the hand that creates the story. Every piece begins the same, but in the end they are all uniquely different.”

You are indeed my heroine!
    Love you Sandy XX

  11. We are having unceasing rain too except today we have some moments of real sunshine. Your antique furniture is lovely. The dresser is similar to what my mother and daddy set up housekeeping with in 1933. On the back of the mirror was a notation: resilvered in 1929. I always wondered just when the mirror was silvered in the first place.
