A Little Sunshine for Stormy Europe

Good morning my Lovelies.  Welcome.  It's raining here at the moment, but nothing like the storms and rain some parts of Europe are receiving at the moment.  I'm sending this bouquet of sunflowers to all of you who are drenched, waterlogged, sick of thunder, lightening and just plain weary of the whole scene. Hope it will remind you that somewhere under those clouds there really is a sun!

I'm linking up to Paint Party Friday  where the theme is all about the garden.  I adore sunflowers.  This painting was done not long before I left Mexico.

"A Sunflower Day", oil on canvas, by Donna Parker

Rain, rain, go away.  Thanks so much for dropping by.  Always lovely to see you and read your comments.  Do hope you have sunshine in your area for the weekend so you can enjoy the outdoors and your garden.

"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do." ― Helen Keller

  8. Oh my sweet Donna - such divine talent! This is beautiful and the vase looks like it has been sculpted. Yes Sugar, you were born to paint. This rivals any painting of Sun Flowers I have ever seen in a museum. I wish I lived near you Sugar - I would trade house keeping and cooking for painting lessons. Of all your paintings - this is my most favorite!!!!!
    Love you Kid!!!

  17. At first glance when I saw the title I was thinking of stormy as in turmoil and not weather - but it works anyway - your painting is absolutely gorgeous Donna and what with the awful weather here and the 'other stuff' :( it really brought a smile to my face :) thank you x
Hope your week is full of sunshine and lovely things..
