A Little Town in Mexico

Good Morning my Lovelies.  It's Friday already -- where does the time go these days.  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and the weather in your part of the world is pleasant.  Forecasting rain here - it's been cold and wet as in many places these days.  Looking forward to some sunshine.

I'd like to share with you my painting called "A Little Town in Mexico".  It's 4 ft. X 4 ft., and is my version of San Miguel.

"A Little Town in Mexico" oil on canvas by Donna Parker

That's all for today.  Still very early here - the birds are busy with their morning songs which makes me very happy.  I'm linking this to Paint Party Friday.

Thanks for dropping by.  See you soon.

You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place. – Miriam Adeney

  4. That is the most beautiful painting, Donna. It brings joy to my heart. I could look at it all day long. You haven't done any prints or posters of it, have you? I'd love one if you ever do them.

  5. I love your painting Donna - it has been pouring with rain here (UK East coast) all afternoon and your beautiful and cheery artwork was like a rainbow suddenly appearing (which always makes me happy).
The birds are also singing - even in the rain - and I just fed a little soggy Robin who was looking in the window waiting for food.
Thanks for your visit and lovely comments/message yesterday.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and some nice weather.. Gill xx

  6. What a beautiful painting of 'A little town in Mexico' Donna, and a perfect quote to go with it.
I can relate so much to it after travelling the globe for many years.
Our weather is atrocious for summer. Five consecutive days of cold, wet rain with the occasional fog thrown in!
Have a great weekend and lets hope that the sun shines for us both ;D

  9. You found a wonderful quote that is so true.

Amazing colours in this beautiful artwork. All looks so warm and sunny. Summer seems to have passed us by on the NE UK coast we have had mostly rain, cold and dull days for quite a while.

    Enjoy your weekend

    Love Chrissie xx

  22. Your painting is gorgeous Donna - I have always loved the colors you used. Mexico was a good place for you and right up your alley when it comes to painting and color.
Well now it is Sunday - I spent 3 hours on the beach this morning looking for Shark's teeth. This is going to be my new fetish -- collecting Shark's teeth! But it will be good for me to get me up and out of the house and walking.
    Keep posting those paintings!!
